Thanks to the geographic location, combined with the experience acquired over the years by its team management, the company has soon achieved a leading position in the design and construction of food processing machinery and complete plants. The undisputed know-how together with the knowledge of the client's demand, enables the company to optimally conciliate demand and production, providing different solutions to meet the individual need. This philosophy has successfully given the company the ability to work in a close contact with farms and leading industrial groups on the national market as well as expanding the business to international market.

For design and construction, FIMA s.r.l follows the international standards established by the European Community for machinery, common to all European Union Member States. They are intended to establish uniform safety standards the manufacturer is required to follow. The objective of the EU Directives is to guarantee that the industries of the European Community process products complying with the relevant standards affecting the safety of people, environment and animals. Amongst the various directives, the "Machinery Directive", that was implemented by Italian Legislative Decree 27th January 2010; and the "Pressure Equipment Directive", that was implemented by Italian legislative decree n°93/2000 are the main directives intended to establish safety prerequisites for machinery.

The Machinery Directive certificates that FIMA s.r.l machines are designed and manufactured in compliance with the international standards. The CE marking as far as MD is a visible sign that can be affixed only when the product is conform with all of the Directives relating to it.

The Pressure Equipment Directive, PED, aims to guarantee free movement of these products while ensuring a high level of safety. It establishes the safety parameters to fulfil when pressure equipment, running at a pressure > 0.5 bar, are manufactured to be placed on the market

Products covered:

The Pressure Equipment Directive covers a very broad range of products such as vessels, pressurized storage containers, heat exchangers, steam generators, boilers, industrial piping, safety devices and pressure accessories.

Such equipment is widely used in the process industries (oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics and rubber and the food and beverage industry), high temperature process industry (glass, paper and board), energy production and in the supply of utilities, heating, air conditioning and gas storage and transportation.
